We invest in the next generation of behavior analysts. Whether you're just starting out or working toward your BCBA, we provide the supervision, mentorship, and training you need to succeed.
Steps to Becoming a BCBA
Becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst requires education, supervised experience, and passing the BCBA exam. Here's the pathway:
Earn a Bachelor's Degree
Complete a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
Pursue a Master's Degree
Complete a BACB-approved master's program in ABA or a related discipline.
Accumulate Supervised Hours
Complete 2,000 hours of supervised fieldwork experience under a qualified BCBA.
Pass the BCBA Exam
Pass the BACB certification exam to earn your BCBA credential.
Maintain Certification
Complete continuing education requirements and renew your certification every two years.
Pursue Specialization
Consider advanced certifications or specializations in areas such as autism, verbal behavior, or organizational behavior management.
Join a Mentorship Program
Work with experienced BCBAs to refine your clinical skills and grow professionally.
Give Back

No certification required
Entry-level direct care; implements ABA programs under close supervision.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
RBT Certification (BACB)
Implements behavior plans; receives ongoing supervision from a BCBA.
Senior RBT
RBT + 1 year experience
Leads sessions, mentors new BTs, and takes on additional clinical responsibilities.
BCBA Candidate
Enrolled in master's program
Accumulates supervised hours toward BCBA certification while continuing direct care.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
BCBA Certification (BACB)
Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and supervises behavior technicians.

Free 40-Hour RBT Training Courses
These free online courses fulfill the 40-hour training requirement for RBT certification. We recommend them to anyone starting their career in ABA.

Jigsaw Connects
Free RBT training designed to prepare candidates for the BACB RBT certification exam with practical, engaging content.
Autism Partnership Foundation
Evidence-based free RBT training from a leading ABA organization, covering foundational skills and ethical practice.
